It all started at work.  It was almost time for me to go home, and I started having gradual chest pains out of nowhere, and I didn't know why.  O_o  They continued on my way back to campus.  I wasn't sure if I was suffering a heart attack or what. I didn't want to sleep on the chest pains, so I went to the school security and they took me to the nearest hospital.  The doctors there placed me on a bed, put some IV into me and placed a blood pressure cuff on me.  A while later, I was put in a CT-scan to take X-rays of my chest.  They thought I had something that was very minor known as phemothorax, but they told me that the pains would go away in about 3 to 5 days. I felt reassured that it wasn't a heart attack. :) (I'm perhaps too young to have one, anyway, since I've been in a couple sports in the past and have a generally healthy body)  They allowed me to sleep the whole night at the hospital.  Before I left the hospital the next morning, they told me to go see my regular doctor in my hometown as soon as possible, and I did later that afternoon.  The doctor there told me that she disagrees with the hospital doctor's diagnosis.  She thinks that the X-rays were misread, and that I would be fine soon.  I am doing alright now; the pains in my chest have gone away.

Isn't that the weirdest thing for the chest pains to occur when you least expect it? O_o  I mean, the day started off normal, and then they just occured spontaneously later in the evening.  I didn't even remember doing anything that might have caused them (like if I ate something spicy or something that could give me heartburn), though one possibility could have been stress due to the approaching end of the college semester and the upcoming finals week, but I don't really know.  Again, I'm fine now.  :)

I went to my sister's Halloween party at her apartment last night, and it was AWESOME! :D I dressed as Harry Potter for the party, and many of the guests were quite impressed with my costume (I didn't make it myself; I borrowed it from someone who has used it before for a church Halloween party last year  :P). ^_^ I carried around with me a Harry Potter wand, the Golden Snitch, and Hedwig. :P  At the party, I played several video games, including Wii Sports, Monkeyball, and Wario on the Wii system, and also Guitar Hero. :) I had a wonderful time at the party.  ^_^

I like my costume so much, I'm gonna wear it again for my college campus' outdoor Halloween party at the park next week. :)

Yes, I have.  Terry Jones (of Monty Python fame) came to my college campus recently to give a hilarious presentation on our misconceptions of the medieval era.   One picture of him I took with my cell phone, another I got of him with me.  :D

I recently applied for a part-time job as a choir section leader for a local church, and I got it! :D  I would get paid for each rehearsal and for each church service we would be performing in.  It's a small church, so I don't think it will be that difficult in helping lead this choir (which I think has about 15 members).  Anyway, I start the job next week. :)

Terry Jones was awesome.  He came to my college campus to discuss our misconceptions of the medieval era.  He was so funny in the way he gave his presentation. :P  I never thought I ever meet a famous person this close and personal in my lifetime. ^_^

This summer has been one of the best I've had so far. :D

First off, I volunteered at my local church by helping create and set up the decorations for the entire church.  Our theme this year was the Old Wild West, and we had several scenes, including a ghost town,  a ranch, and a stationwagon (for class photos).  I also did a few various tasks, including serving in the kitchen some snacks, group leader for a preschool group, and music accompanist for when the kids performed at a Sunday church service.  I was basically a "slave" who could step in and help out whatever is needed taken care of.  :P

I was also had a summer job as a day camp counselor for the same church.  Those five weeks were a lot of fun. ^^ Every weekday, there was a Bible lesson, an activity that may be associated with the lesson, gym, art, lunch with a movie, and a field trip.  Every day, we went on different field trips, including swimming, museum tours, and plays. The kids really liked going swimming. :P

I also was in a community theatre production of "Seven Brothers for Seven Brothers."  I played Frank (short for Frankincense), one of the brothers.  I had so much fun. :D In the past, I've had parts that were in an ensemble or chorus, but not this time.  I feel glad that I got a bigger role. ^^

I also found the time to write a very short version of a short novel I might write someday, :) I showed it to many of my friends online, and they really liked it. :D

Yes, this is one of the best summers I ever had. :)

I've been on several great vacations with my family.  One trip I'll never forget is the time when we traveled out west to go sightseeing, including Yellowstone National Park, in July 1997, and we stayed in a cabin up in the mountains for one night.  When we left the park the next morning, it was snowing hard, and we were driving in an old minivan, so my dad was being very careful in his driving on the winding roads down the mountains.  We made it out safely.

Several months ago,  I wrote a story and showed it to several of my friends online, and they really did like it, so I decided to post it on DeviantArt. :)  Here're the link to the first chapter: http://anders59.deviantart.com/art/Silent-Wood-Chapter-1-64398449 You can access the other chapters in my gallery.  Hope you all enjoy reading it. ^^
